The carbon band is always broken. The reasons for the broken carbon band in the printing of bar code printer are generally the following three aspects:
1. Printing temperature is too high: The most common reason for carbon band fracture is that the printing temperature is set too high, especially when printing full page horizontal lines or fine text. It is not recommended to improve the printing quality only by increasing the printing temperature, because too high printing temperature is easy to cause the melting and fracture of the carbon strip and affect the service life of the print head.
2. The tension of the carbon belt axis is too large: if the damping setting of the carbon belt supply axis and recovery axis of the bar code printer is too large, it will increase the strength of the carbon back to the coil, thus aggravating the possibility of the carbon belt fracture. Sometimes, the printer indicator light will directly prompt the carbon belt error signal. At this point, it is necessary to adjust the resistance and tension of the supply and recovery ends of the carbon belt.
3. Poor material of carbon tape: the base film is the carrier of carbon tape, and its strength and thickness will directly affect the ductility of carbon tape. Some cheap carbon tape selection of the base film is thin and poor texture, not only at normal printing temperature will also appear carbon tape melting and fracture phenomenon. It is recommended to replace the carbon tape with a better material.
