First, back coating

A mild silicone coating provides optimal heat transfer for ink transfer and fine printing, while protecting the print head, effectively extending the life of the print head, helping to eliminate static electricity (which can damage the print head and reduce print quality), and improving the printing speed during bar code printing.

Two, PET base membrane

The composition of the base film is polyester film (PET), used to carry ink and back coating. The base film is also responsible for heat transfer from the heat transfer printing head to the ink.

Release layer

The release layer helps the ink layer peel smoothly from the base film even at low temperature printing conditions.

Four, ink layer

Made of wax/resin mixed with carbon black, the layer is stripped from the base film during the thermal transfer process and transferred to the receiving print medium (label paper) to form an image or text.

The formula determines the heat, wear and solvent resistance of the ribbon.
