PRINTING ON PACKAGING FOR FROZEN PRODUCTS
Choose a print solution with proven resistance against cold
Production and packing throughout the cold chain for frozen products subject printed information to significant stresses, potentially compromising legibility.
In these demanding environments, Thermal Transfer technology offers a high-performance solution for the printing of variable information.
- Certain Thermal Transfer printers can be integrated within the production or packing line and are able to operate in cold environments;
- In keeping with the demands of high-throughput applications, printing is possible at a speed of up to 1 metre per second, whether in intermittent or continuous mode;
- Thermal Transfer inks offer excellent adhesive qualities for all types of plastic packaging, even pre-printed.
Quality printing for durable information
Thermal Transfer is able to mark all types of logos, numbers and characters with a good visual finish and a level of resistance suitable for the product’s environment of production and of use. To avoid an expiry date or traceability number being erased from the packaging, a Thermal transfer ribbon must be selected that offers resistance to freezing, abrasion, handling, etc.
CISON ribbons for frozen products packaging
The Wax-Resin inks for near-edge printers offer the best combination of print quality, speed and cost, while the Resin inks
are the best suited to demanding applications in terms of durability.
CISON inks are also available in white, metallic and various colors for printing on coloured packaging films.
CISON ribbons enable producers to comply with European regulations (1935/2004/EC) and US FDA requirements.
