When choosing carbon tape, we should consider the material of the printer and self-adhesive label. If there is no good coordination, the printed effect may not be ideal. And in the selection of carbon belt, the general choice of carbon belt width will be slightly wider than the label, because it can protect the printer print head. For example, when we print 80mm wide labels, we usually choose 85 or 90 mm wide carbon tape.

1. Carbon belt with wax base ratio of more than 70% — wax base carbon belt.

2, wax base and resin base proportion of 50% each carbon belt – mixed base carbon belt.

3. Carbon belt containing more than 50% of resin base — resin base carbon belt.

Wax-based carbon tape has the characteristics of high sensitivity, high resolution and high density, such as ordinary paper, coated paper, coarse paper, smooth paper, coated paper, synthetic paper and so on. Mixed base carbon tape has stain resistance, high definition, high speed printing, suitable for all kinds of labels, such as coated paper, smooth paper, coated paper, synthetic paper, PET, PVC material, etc. The resin based carbon tape has high quality scratch resistance, heat resistance, solvent resistance, high resolution and other characteristics, especially suitable for all kinds of polyester and plastic labels, such as synthetic paper, PVC, PET, water labels, etc..

Finally, the price of carbon belts. The price of carbon belts is calculated in terms of area, usually in square meters. Of the three types of carbon strips, waxy carbon strips have the lowest price and resin-based carbon strips have the highest price. The area of a carbon band can generally be calculated by multiplying the width of the carbon band by its length.
