Nowadays, many label papers are widely used, and I believe most people have encountered them. The plastic products, glass products and ceramic products we usually buy in the supermarket will also have the manufacturer’s label paper on them. Although the printed paper on the surface can be torn off, the sticky glue on the bottom cannot always be torn off cleanly.
Because ordinary self-adhesive generally contains polymer materials such as petroleum resin and acrylic acid, the viscosity is relatively high. The manufacturer wants to stick it firmly so that it will not fall off during transportation, but it is too sticky and it is inconvenient to tear it up. At present, there is no process that can not only ensure the strength of the adhesive, but also easily tear off without leaving traces.
But generally, thinners such as alcohol, gasoline, or nail polish and hand cream can help remove these stickers easily and completely. The method is to tear off a layer of paper on the surface of the label, apply alcohol or gasoline, etc., and then rub the surface with your hands to make it fully soaked in the self-adhesive, and finally wipe it off with a cloth.
However, using these solvents may also cause damage to the surface of the appliance. At present, the best method is to soak in hot water or blow the self-adhesive part with a hair dryer, and then rub with a damp cloth to remove the self-adhesive. This method will not cause damage to the item.
