So the question is, what’s the difference between a flat press printer and a side press printer?
A) the different forms of printing
1. Flat pressure heat sensing head, using cooling peel way, through the printing hair heat transfer to the carbon belt, carbon belt dissolved cooling, and then with the carbon strip base peel attached to the printing medium, most flat pressure heat sensing head adopt this way, the whole process is: Print head heating up – > carbon label synchronous paper, carbon belt heating – > carbon ink layer heating – > carbon ink layer heating dissolved – > dissolved ink layer cooling – > dissolved ink layer cooling from the baseband stripping on the label paper.
(Schematic diagram of working principle of flat pressing carbon belt: heating of carbon belt ink layer – > cooling of carbon belt ink layer – > stripping of carbon belt ink layer)
2. Hypotenuse heat sensing head generates temperature from the tip part, and then the carbon strip is softened and dissolved at the same time, the base of the carbon strip is also stripped; This approach produces higher quality prints; Carbon strip base and ink layer peeling time and pressure type of thermal head is not the same, so the use of carbon belt hypotenuse type of thermal head is very important. The whole process is as follows: the print head heats up – > the carbon strip labels synchronize the paper, and the carbon strip is heated – > the ink layer of the carbon strip is heated – > the ink layer of the carbon strip is directly stripped from the baseband and presented on the label paper.
(Schematic diagram of working principle of hanging pressure carbon belt: carbon belt ink layer is heated — > carbon belt ink layer is stripped)
Two) the difference between flat pressure printer and side pressure printer
The heat sensitive area of the flat press print head is wider, and not in the front, so the service life of the print head will be longer, not easy to cause broken needles, and the price is lower;
The heat-sensitive area of the side pressure print head is in the front end, because the print head can print words quickly after pressing, which can save carbon tape and label; The disadvantage is that the price is expensive and easy to cause broken needles, but if you pay more attention to use, and choose the right carbon belt, in the printing volume is very large will reduce the cost.
Three) different application scenarios
Because the price is cheap, low printing speed (printing speed up to 300 mm/s), the general application scenarios do not need a lot of printing can be used flat printer, so the common desktop machine will choose flat press.
Side pressure printer because of its high printing speed (printing speed can exceed 600 mm/s), so it is mostly used in printing plants or factories that need to print in large quantities.
4) It is recommended to use CISON side pressing carbon tape for side pressing printer
Barcode printers, there are many kinds of classification methods, there is a way in accordance with the thermal print head form to categories: roller printer and printer side pressure, these two forms of the machine adopt the Flat type (Flat) and the hypotenuse type (Near the Edge of thermal head, and the corresponding print consumables, thermal transfer carbon belt on the two machines are mostly not universal. We usually use flat printer (such as TSC, Boss, etc.), and we choose the general bar code carbon belt accordingly; The high-speed side pressing printers used in industry (such as Toshiba SX5T, B-EX4T1, B-572, etc.) can only choose side pressing carbon tape or flat side pressing universal carbon tape. A good carbon strip protects the print head and produces an effect that adheres accurately to the paper and is not easy to spread or fall off.
